We at Caledon Hills Cycling are proud to introduce a new line of footwear this Spring of 2008. This casual line of shoes may be familiar to some of you because they were popular a couple of decades ago. Only recently Simple has been re-introduced into Canada and we are glad to have them on board. Simple is one of the most eco-friendly companies I’ve come across. You MUST visit their website and learn all the details about the production of their shoes and the ‘green’ philosophy behind their company. It makes us wonder why more companies don’t follow suit. Why does a small cycling shop like us bring in a shoe line like this? Because we are all about promoting cycling as a lifestyle. We want to be able to be as comfortable off our bikes as on our bikes. Why did we start cycling? Most of us wanted to get back to nature, and staying in shape was often just a bi-product of this venture. Because of our love of nature, we feel compelled to take care of the nature and that means, when we can, we make choices that give a positive impact to our society and our environment. THIS is one of those choices. Simple uses recycled products and sustainable materials when possible. One of the recycled products they use is bicycle tires. Is that cool, or what? So, you see how Simple has arrived in the little bicycle store we like to call Caledon Hills Cycling. We hope you and your family will enjoy some Simple Shoes this Spring.
